BAIT-2024

The 1st International Workshop on
“Bioinformatics and applied information technologies”

GLORY TO UKRAINE! GLORY TO HEROES!

GENERAL INFORMATION

The 1st International Workshop on “Bioinformatics and applied information technologies” (BAIT-2024) will be held in Zboriv, Ukraine, from October 02 to 04, 2024. The Workshop is organized by Zboriv Professional College of Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University

Today, there is a rapid development of the IT industry in the direction of solving applied problems regarding the effective organization of the information process to reduce the costs of time, labor, energy and material resources in all areas of human life and modern society, based on the rational use of modern achievements in the field of computer technology and other high technologies, the latest means of communication, software and practical experience. The introduction of concepts and technologies of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data analysis, cloud technologies, machine learning, etc., is especially fast and effective in order to solve not only specialized technological needs, but also everyday needs of ordinary users. This trend is particularly rapid in the field of biomedical technologies, in particular from the collection, storage, modeling and analysis of biomedical data, signals and images, to the development of complex intellectualized human-machine systems, in particular brain-computer interfaces, intellectualized systems of human empowerment and rehabilitation lost functions, etc. The purpose of BAIT-2024 is to discuss the results of original scientific research in the directions of creating or improving applied information technologies both for the needs of society in general and for the needs of biomedicine in particular.

Participation and publication are free of charge!

Planned to be indexed in Scopus & Web of Science!

Proceedings of the BAIT-2024 shall be submitted to CEUR-WS.org for online publication and planned to be indexed in Scopus & Web of Science.

BAIT workshop take the form of online-presentation by invited keynote speakers plus presentations of peer-reviewed individual papers.

WORKSHOP TOPICS

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

Bioinformatics combines biology, computer science, mathematics, and statistics to analyze and interpret biological data. It is crucial in genomics, proteomics, and systems biology, aiding in the sequencing of genomes, studying protein functions, and modeling biological pathways. Applications in personalized medicine, drug discovery, and disease research have revolutionized healthcare, enabling precise treatments. Advances in bioinformatics drive innovation in biotechnology, agriculture, and environmental science, making it essential for modern biological research.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) enable machines to learn from data and make decisions with minimal human input. AI simulates human intelligence through natural language processing, computer vision, and robotics, while ML develops algorithms that improve with experience. These technologies revolutionize healthcare, finance, autonomous systems, manufacturing, and data analytics by optimizing processes, enhancing decision-making, and providing insights from vast data. As AI and ML evolve, they promise to further transform technology and problem-solving.

Applied modeling in information technologies involves the use of mathematical, statistical, and computational models to solve real-world problems and optimize systems. This field encompasses a wide range of applications, including data analysis, predictive modeling, and simulation. In business, applied modeling aids in decision-making, resource management, and process optimization. In engineering, it enhances the design and operation of complex systems. Applied modeling is also crucial in fields like finance, healthcare, and logistics, where it helps predict trends, assess risks, and improve efficiency. By leveraging advanced modeling techniques, organizations can gain insights, improve performance, and drive innovation.
